Thrustmaster World Cup Controllers Reviewed |
Thrustmaster's 2002 FIFA World Cup controllers were recently put under the Soccer Gaming microschope. From the new look PS2 and PC gamepads, to the revelutionary Football Stadium, we have listed the pros and cons of the new controllers.
In part we say:"The Football Stadium is designed best for arcade style games, so it was way more enjoyable when I gave it a go with EA's 2002 FIFA World Cup game. FIFA UK LAN Tournament This August |
FIFA UK Tournaments will be hosting a FIFA LAN Tournament this August using FIFA World Cup 2002, which will be sponsored by VGA and Samsung Electronics. This offline tournament is open only to those residing in the UK and will be held in either Birmingham or Slough.
This tournament will be the Pre Qualifier for the UK Finals which will be held in late August. The top 3/4 from the Pre Qualifier will be seeded for the Finals with a chance to win a free trip to the World Cyber Games in South Korea!

Holland to the World Cup v2 Released |
The SoccerGameZ crew have released version 2 of the Holland to the World Cup Patch. Version 2 corrects a few bugs and adds some extra features. The extra features are:
- New Nike Home and Away Kit with WC 2002 Textures
- Orange Crowd
- Correct Name in the Menus
- Menu Badge
- Correct roster from all the 32 World Cup Teams + Holland (Name, Position, Number, Height, Weight, and Age)

FifaCenter.org have sent us two bits of news regarding World Cup 2002. First:
FifaCenter Music Editor Update - Due to many
people asking for an Englsih version they have released it immediately. It can be downloaded by clicking here
And secondly...
WC 2002 FifaFx Patches - Kerim Apaydin of FifaCenter.org and Bolzer of Fifafx.de have collaborated to create this new patch. Here is what it updates:
- Sidelines: Coach and reserve bench players sit on the bench, the number of the reserve players is like in reality
- Nets: Nets are all square in the game. Using this patch you will have six sided nets
- Tv logo: The menus will match each other like a TV channel which is televising the game (goal, cards, substitutions)
